Welcome to my blog!
My name is Michelle Bullerman, I am a wife, mother, friend, blogger, and recruiter based out of Minneapolis, MN.
I graduated from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities in 2014, GO GOPHERS! My first role out of college was as a corporate recruiter for Kforce a staffing agency based out of FL. Continuing my career in recruiting I started working for a dream company of mine, Target in Talent Acquisition. My husband (Nick), also works for Target in the Supply Chain pyramid. We always say we’re the Target red family living and breathing all things Target.
Nick and I went to the same high school, grew up in the same neighborhood, and are high school sweethearts. We’ve been together for over 10 years and therefore have been part of many big milestones in each other’s lives. In 2017 we rescued our first child, Brady (dog) from Coco’s Heart Dog Rescue. If you’re looking to adopt or even foster a dog I’d highly recommend the rescue. They’re always looking for families with a love for animals to adopt or foster.
We got married in 2018 and boy everyone tells you time flies, but truly it does I can’t believe we are close to our 5 year wedding anniversary. During the Covid pandemic in November of 2020, we had our daughter (Oakley). She is such a joy in our lives, bringing her funny, smart, energetic personality to everything she does. I wish I had half the energy she has, she’s always on the go!
This past year we moved into what I’d say is a true entertainer’s dream home. The biggest reason is that it has the ability to host parties and get-togethers. We have a pool in the backyard to enjoy the sun..well a few months out of the year at least in Minnesota. My husband and I enjoy cooking, baking, and smoking food, especially for others. If we’re not working you can find us in the kitchen.
Entertaining is what we love to do, always making too much food, trying new recipes, and spending time with family and friends. Everyone always says we cook and bake for an army, but we never want anyone to go home hungry!! We have a kitchen now with space to bake and an outdoor kitchen to grill or smoke food. Many people think we are crazy having 6 different grills (Recteq Bullseye and RT700, XL Big Green Egg, Gas Grill, Charcoal Grill, Flattop). I would have to say we do use all our kitchen and outdoor grilling gadgets.
In, 2022 I was diagnosed with celiac disease a lifelong autoimmune disorder. A gluten allergy that if I continued to eat gluten would continue to damage my small intestine and lead to other health complications. Want to learn more about my journey? Read my blog about my lifestyle change. Our world felt turned upside down. We had to change out many of our kitchen gadgets, thoroughly clean our grills and smokers, and begin finding new recipes, since cross-contamination was a big concern. It was really hard at first and at times still is, but knew our love for baking and cooking would be to our advantage.
My diagnosis led me to blog and share products, tips, recipes, and tricks to a lifestyle with celiac. I want to make it easier for all of us to live gluten-free. I look forward to sharing tips, tricks, products, family, and gluten-free living (celiac) with you!
