Naturally gluten-free and the perfect side dish! This Mango Salsa recipe is especially good during the hot summer months! The salsa is a bright colorful dish to add to any table! It is refreshing for a barbeque, a simple snack on a summer day by the pool, or added to a taco bar.
Serving Suggestions
Mango salsa the bright colorful dish can add so much to a dinner. Served on top of fish or a salad, which can add a sweet taste. I often serve this alongside my fajitas or taco bars with guacamole or queso. It is also great with tortilla chips, sesame seed crackers, or plain! There are numerous ways you can serve this salsa and it will be a hit! To top it all off it is easy to prepare and takes only 15 mins or less.
Preparation
When preparing this bright colorful dish make sure you use ripe mangoes. Mangos that are not ripened all the way, will result in a bland taste. If you don’t like an ingredient you can always make your own version. Add or omit what you like! I always prefer to add jalapenos for that extra zip, but if you enjoy a mild salsa you can leave them out. My sister can’t have onions, so if I know she is coming over to indulge I leave them out. When possible I love to add all the flavors, red onion, red pepper, jalapenos, lime, salt, and of course the mangos!
While preparing this mango salsa recipe you can simply chop and dice up all the ingredients by hand. If you have a Miracle Chopper, add all the ingredients and chop it up all at once. I’d highly suggest this chopper if you don’t have one already! This is the best chopper that I use all summer when making a salsa of any kind!!
This salsa can be made ahead of time and left in the fridge. I even suggest making it 30 mins before serving and up to a day ahead of time. The time in the fridge allows it to marinate and bring out all the flavors. It will last in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
